Big deal, Curtis. Anyone can point at an Edmonton goalie.
The deadline isn’t until Monday afternoon, but the Washington Capitals might already be done. After acquiring Tim Gleason and Curtis Glencross, the Caps current roster might be the same one we see in the postseason. Or maybe not.
Tonight’s game, at home against the Maple Leafs, is the organization’s last chance to evaluate their players before all sales are final. 7 PM on CSN.

Storylines
Here we go.
- F Curtis Glencross acquired for two draft picks. He will probably not play tonight.
- D Tim Gleason acquired for Jack Hillen and a fourth. He will play tonight with Mike Green.
- The trade deadline is Monday. Ian and I talked about it extensively on the podcast. Plus, the Sunday snapshot is all about this team’s identity.
- Just one point from Alex Ovechkin in the last four games. Jason Chimera is outproducing him. As Ovi goes, so too go the Caps.
- The Capitals will make Andre Burakovsky eligible for the AHL playoffs just in case. Gotta wonder what Glencross will do for 65’s ice time.
- Washington was not on Glencross’ original list of teams he’d waive his NTC for.
- Toronto’s Kyle Dubas is a big brain.
- Dustin Penner is a creep, and I’m glad he’s not with this organization.
